Crispy wings, glazed in a sticky honey soy sauce, no deep fryer, no fuss.
Your silicone liner keeps them from sticking to the basket and makes clean-up a two-minute job, not a scrubbing session.
Ingredients
Wings:
- 750g chicken wings (split into drumettes and flats)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp corn-starch (for extra crispiness)
Honey Soy Glaze:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 spring onions, finely sliced (for garnish)
Steps

Prep the wings: Pat dry, then toss with oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cornstarch.

Preheat air fryer: Preheat to 200°C for 3 minutes.

Air fry: Arrange wings on your air fryer liner in a single layer. Cook at 200°C for 22 minutes, shaking halfway.

Make the glaze: While the wings cook, add the soy sauce, honey, hoisin, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and chilli flakes to a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Toss: Once golden and crisp, toss the wings in the glaze.

Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion, serve hot.
